  1. Checkin at Salisbury, Wiltshire
    1. Edit

After packing up our tent this morning, we headed to Salisbury in search of breakfast.

It was a pretty little town filled with Tudor buildings and covered in bunting.

  2. Checkin at Cosy Club Salisbury
    1. Edit

We decided to try Cosy Club for breakfast, a gastropub filled with quirky decor.

    3. Edit

It was a lovely morning so we sat in the courtyard out the back with lots of friendly dogs to pet.

    4. Edit

Tom's breakfast of Cosy Eggs with two poached eggs, smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce seemed pretty modest compared to my dish.

    5. Edit

He'd managed to up-sell me to the "How The Other Half Brunch" option which was a lobster tail with creamed scrambled eggs on toast.

  3. Checkin at Salisbury Cathedral
    1. Edit

We took a walk around Salisbury Cathedral afterwards, which has the tallest spire in Britain.

It was so pretty inside with huge arches and stained glass windows. We even got to take a peek at one of the copies of the Magna Carta.

    4. Edit

The cloisters reminded me of the ones from Harry Potter.

  4. Checkin at Woodhenge
    1. Edit

Not wanting to pay to visit Stonehenge, we decided to visit nearby Woodhenge instead.

    2. Edit

Woodhenge is right next to Stonehenge and believed to have been built around 2300 BC as the remains of a burial ground.

    3. Edit

In the middle of the stones is the "Tomb of the Unknown Child" which people had left offerings on.

  5. Checkin at Box Hill, Surrey
    1. Edit

We then took a picturesque drive through the Surrey Hills Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

  6. Checkin at Albury Vineyard
    1. Edit

The Surrey Hills has chalky south facing hills, which are the same as Champagne, so they're able to grow grapes for wine and have vineyards.

We stopped off at the Albury Vineyard to pick up a bottle of wine to take home.

  7. Checkin at Silent Pool
    1. Edit

Next to the vineyard was the Silent Pool, a gorgeous still lake surrounded by evergreen trees.

The silence was a little eerie but the still water was such a beautiful turquoise colour.

  8. Checkin at Wotton Hatch
    1. Edit

We stopped off at the Wotton Hatch to try some Silent Pool gin which we had just visited the distillery of.

    2. Edit

They also served bellini pops. It was pretty boozy for an ice lolly!
