  1. Checkin at Sacre Couer Cathedrale
    1. Edit

After checking out of the hotel we headed up to Montmarte and Sacre Couer.

    2. Edit

These steps remind me so much of @[21940678400:Amelie] but what you don’t see in the movie are the “string men of Sacre Couer” who accost you on the steps and try to force braid a friendship bracelet on your hand and then take all of your money.

    3. Edit

There was a very pretty Victorian carousel.

    4. Edit

You get a lovely view from the top of the steps.

    5. Edit

I bought a box of @[48250857578:macaroons] to take home from one of the patisseries.

    6. Edit

We found the first windmill of Montmarte and then walked down the hill to my favorite place in Paris…

  2. Checkin at Café des 2 moulins
    1. Edit

Cafe des 2 Moulins which was is the cafe from @[21940678400:Amelie].

    3. Edit

Tom hadn’t been before, so I was looking forward to showing it to him. I even forced him to go and look in the toilets, which also appear in the film.

    4. Edit

      I love the @[52500030448:creme brulee].

  3. Checkin at Rue Montmarte
    1. Edit

We passed the second and more famous windmill, the @[311032796530:Moulin Rouge] on the way to the Metro.

    2. Edit

This was the only show girl we spotted though!

  4. Checkin at Catacombs
    1. Edit

In complete contrast to the fluffiness of Disney Land yesterday, we went under the streets of Paris to explore the catacombs.

    2. Edit

It was very dark and every so often there was a sculpture in the stone.

    4. Edit

It was very dark and we walked for miles underneath the streets. I didn’t know anything about the catacombs before visiting so I was not ready for the next part, when all of a sudden the walls changed and turned in to piles and piles of bones and skulls.

    6. Edit

They were organised so neatly and some had been arranged in to patterns like hearts and crosses. There were miles of bones… it was so creepy.

    7. Edit

The accompanying gift shop didn’t seem to be taking things too seriously with bone erasers and every type of skull or bone shaped accessory for sale.

  5. Edit

We caught the tram back in to Paris.

  6. Edit

But not before I squished a penny on the track.

  7. Checkin at Le Printemps
    1. Edit

We then went for a drink in the French equivalent of a department store cafe with the most amazing views.

    2. Edit

You could wall all the way around the building. From one side you could see all the domes and rooftops of Opera…

and on the other you could see all the way back to Sacre Couer.

  8. Facebook Checkin at Apple Store Opera at 17 Nov 16:12
    1. Edit

We took a few minutes out in the Apple Store (which my Dad calls church) to relax and check our emails (I had 200+ unread which was not very relaxing at all).

  9. Edit

We grabbed some macaroons and hit the Metro for a final bit of sight seeing.

  10. Checkin at Eiffel Tower
    1. Edit

We were hoping to go to the sewer museum but it closed early so we strolled along to the Eiffel Tower. We were tempted to go up it, via the stairs but we probably didn’t have enough time or energy left.

  11. Checkin at Quick
    1. Edit

Tom was hungry and recommended we get some fast food from Quick (which would later give me food poisoning - ick ick ick).

  12. Checkin at Gard du Nord
    1. Edit

We had some time to kill at the station so I spent my remaining Euros on @[107887485911573:French Vogue] and some chocolate from @[43530744461:Godiva].

  13. Checkin at St Pancras
    1. Edit

The @[110718776425:Eurostar] felt quick on the way back and we arrived back in London just in time for my parents arrival.
