It was International Cats Day today and Battersea Dogs & Cats home where having a party to celebrate.

There was prosecco, paw cupcakes and best of all lots of cats.

The cats were adorable and all of them were spoken for and about to go to new homes.

The dog & cat home has it's own knitting group called the Knitten Kittens who meet up and stitch toys and blankets for the cats to take to their new homes.

Today, they were teaching us how to make pompomeranians.

I really liked how it turned out, so decided to try and design my own pom pom in the shape of a cat. I just need to add some whiskers with a yarn needle.

In the evening, Tom and I went for dinner at the Tommyfield, one of our local pubs.

I had a nicoise salad topped with a huge tuna steak and a Cosmopolitan.
