We took Mum & Dad for brunch at London Grind this morning, which is at London Bridge.

I tried my first turmeric latte while Mum had a beetroot one and we admired the rainbow of drinks that appeared on the table.

Surrounded by the tall buildings of the city, the church grounds are so peaceful and filled with plants and flowers.

I loved the way the ivy and vines had grown in a tangle around the ruins.

We then had tickets to go up to the Sky Garden at the top of the Walkie Talkie.

Mum loves gardens, so one on the top of a skyscraper with a gorgeous view over the city was perfect for her.

It was then time for my parents to travel home but not before tucking into a slice of the pear and raspberry custard tart that I'd baked for them as a late birthday cake.

  8. Checkin at Cable Cafe Bar
    1. Edit

In the evening, Tom & I went for a drink at another one of our locals, the Cable Bar. It's a coffee shop in the day and a cocktail bar at night with live music on Tuesdays.

    2. Edit

The champagne cocktail was delicious and only £7.
