    1. Edit

Holly invited me to hang out with her today, so we headed to the Saatchi Gallery to check out the Selfie To Self Expression exhibition.

On the ground floor was a room covered in screens with classic self portraits from famous artists throughout history. You could then go up and click a heart on your favourite ones, just like Instagram.

In the next room, each wall was projected with thousands of tiny YouTube videos.

We then made our way upstairs to the second floor gallery where there was a mix of modern selfies, photoshopped images and modern art.

There was a cool sculpture made of fabric connected to a camera which changed to match your silhouette.

These photoshopped selfies of the Royal Family and Donald Trump made us giggle.

We popped into the gift shop after where there were so many things that would make great gifts. I'll be back to do my Christmas shopping.

  2. Checkin at Duke of York Square
    1. Edit

There was a giant sand castle in Duke Of York Square.

We then headed to the Ampersand Hotel for a Science Afternoon Tea.

The hotel was gorgeous and we were seated in The Drawing Rooms decorated with artwork of animals in teacups.

We were served tea followed by an impressive cake stand billowing liquid nitrogen ice.

When the smoke cleared, we started tucking into our savouries including mini quiches and finger sandwiches.

It was then time for the white chocolate chip scones, which we topped with cream, jam, salted caramel sauce from a paint tube and various toppings from test tubes.

    10. Edit

It was then time for pastries including sesame macaroons, a lychee, raspberry & rose beaker and lemon crescent fondant. The chocolate & mint mousse was my favourite, it was shaped like a planet and served with a chocolate spaceman.

At the end of our tea, there a box filled with chocolate soil to dig through to find a mini dinosaur biscuit and chocolate fossil.

  4. Checkin at Cahoots London
    1. Edit

We headed into town to meet Tom after work and Holly asked if we could go to Cahoots. Luckily there was no queue and at, so we headed straight in.

I ordered the Windsor Is Coming cocktail with gin, raspberry-infused rice vinegar, pumpkin, lemon and lemongrass. I wasn't sure about the vinegar but it tasted delciious!

    4. Edit

I then had a Fixer Upper which was more like a dessert than a cocktail with vodka, barley coffee, cinnamon, almond Guinness reduction, punch and pistachio foam.

  5. Checkin at La Bodega Negra
    1. Edit

Afterwards, Holly suggested going to La Bodega Negra, a Mexican restaurant in Soho disguised as a strip club on the outside.

We sheepishly tip-toed inside where a lady behind a counter selling issues of Playboy pointed us downstairs.

    4. Edit

We sat at the bar downstairs and sipped on frozen margaritas and tucked into tuna tacos.
