      Mum came through to Edinburgh today and we went out for lunch at her favourite place, Falko Konditormeister.

      We shared the Welsh Rarebit, so that we could save some room for cake. It was delicious as always and pretty similar to the one I recreated at home.

      We then had a slice of the raspberry and pear tart which is my Mum's favourite.

      We popped into The Edinburgh Bookstore afterwards for a browse and admired the ladder of fame.

      A new Korean BBQ and sushi restaurant called Hanmi opened up on Fountainbridge this week, so we took Mum & Dad along for dinner to try it out.

    Before our meal, we were given a selection of Korean nibbles including kimchee, pickles and the most delicious mash potato I've ever tasted.

    Dad ordered BBQ which he got to cook himself on a hot grill in the middle of our table. He loves playing with his food so he was as happy as could be.

    I got tempted by the fusion sushi menu and ordered a tuna and chive roll and king prawn tempura roll topped with salmon, cheese and bonito flakes.
