      I'm often quite shy about sticking my nose into churches for a peek but St Mary's Cathedral looked so impressive from the outside that I couldn't resist.

      It was just as impressive on the inside with ornate stonework, gigantic arches and gorgeous stained glass windows.

      I loved this giant gold statue of a crane.

  2. Checkin at Milk Juicery

      We went for breakfast at Milk Juicery, a super cute new smoothie bar filled with neon lights and hanging air plants.

      I had a peanut butter smoothie bowl which came topped with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, goji berries and granola.

      I also had a red velvet latte which looked gorgeous and tasted like rose.

      Tom had a salmon wrap which came stuffed full of veggies.

  3. Checkin at Water of Leith

      Feeling healthy, we decided to work off breakfast with a walk along the Water Of Leith.

      It was the perfect day for a walk along the river and all of the blossoms were in bloom.

  4. Checkin at St Bernard's Well

      We stopped off at the gorgeous St Bernard's Well to take some photos.

    We hopped off our walk when we reached Stockbridge to go on the hunt for a drink.

      We ended up at The Stockbridge Tap where babies weren't welcome but doggies were, which was fine by us.

  7. Checkin at Golden Hare Books

      We popped into Golden Hare Books afterwards, a gorgeous little bookshop with a great selection of graphic novels.

      There was an amazing book filled with old medical illustrations called The Sick Rose.

  8. Checkin at Smith & Gertrude

      We then popped into Smith & Gertrude for a cheese and wine flight.

  9. Checkin at Dean Village

      We then continued our walk back along the Water Of Leith, through the Dean Village and up to Haymarket.

      We spotted a heron sitting next to the waterfall. He must be a regular because when I checked in on Instagram, I saw so many photos of him sitting in the same place.
