My Dad wanted to see the Mona Lisa in the Louvre, so my mum and I went off to do some shopping. I picked up a travel diary, an ornament for the Christmas tree and some postcards.

We stopped to look through the window of Repetto which sells the Parisian ballerinas their point shoes and it was so pretty. I'd love a pair one day.

We then stopped for a coffee before heading off to meet Dad.

  5. Checkin at Place du Concorde
    1. Edit

We met up with my Dad again at Place du Concorde. On his 100 meter walk from the Lourve he'd experienced four different scams and someone even tried to pick his pocket!

  6. Checkin at Avenue Des Champs Elysées
    1. Edit

We then walked up Champs des Elyssees and admired all the amazing looking macaroons in the window of @[38013226846:Lauduree].

It was then time to be typical tourists and take our photos of the @[14067072198:Eiffel Tower].

We walked along the Seine as it got dark towards my favourite part of the city, the Latin Quarter.

  10. Checkin at Shakespeare and Company Bookshop
    1. Edit

Mum and I browsed round Shakespear & Co. bookshop while Dad headed over to Notre Dame. A man was playing piano and the shop was full of American writers working and staying there. They don't have a self help section though.

  11. Checkin at Oroyona
    1. Edit

We had super tasty crepes for dinner in the Latin Quarter. The crepes here are think and stuffed full of ingredients. I went for cheese and mushroom.

    2. Edit

We then wandered round the Latin Quarter and stopped for strange snacks from a bakery. Mum and I tried green dough balls covered in pistachios and Dad had a super sugary cake - it made hid throught hurt from the sweetness. He didn't finish it.

  12. Edit

We then went to a bookstore with a fabulous stationery section. I picked up a baby blue ink gel pen and some glaze which is advertised with glazed-cast gummy bears, so it should be perfect for the candy corn jewellry I plan to make when I get back. We also hunted for the independent cinema, which we found but none of the movies were in English, so we gave it a miss and headed home.

  13. Edit

There was a clown on the Metro home dressed in full costume and make-up, juggling his way through the carriages. I love Paris!
