    It was so rainy and grey today, making it one of the worst days for a drive down south, but Tom was determined to go on an adventure so we set off anyway.

    I secretly quite like taking photos when it's gloomy because it makes the colours pop more under the dramatic grey clouds.

      Our first stop was Moffat where it was raining so hard that Tom didn't get out of the car.

      We then headed to Southerness in search of the lighthouse.

    We continued our drive up the West Coast and passed a field with a gigantic wicker man in the middle.

      Eventually we ended up in Kirkcudbright and took the chance to explore and stretch our legs.

      Best of all, there was a statue for Ceasar, the town cat, who roamed the streets between 1990 and 2004. Every town needs a town cat!

      We took a walk along the high street and I picked up some black linguine from the deli.
