Tom's taken on a new contracting role down in Chippenham. It's a remote job but he has to travel down once a month and invited me to come with him.

We decided to stay in Bristol as it's only half an hour by train and would give me a chance to go explore the city while Tom was at work.

We'd rented an awesome loft at Paintworks for the week, so that I'd have somewhere to hang out and work.

The area itself was really cool with artist studios, a cafe and bar, gallery and airstream diner.

The loft was perfect with lots of bright open space, split levels and brickwork everywhere.

There was a projector, wood burning fire and Christmas tree in the living room, along with lots of books and DVDs to watch, so that we'd feel at home.

There was also a dining room and kitchen stocked with breakfast supplies. I loved all the murals painted onto the brick walls which made me feel like we were in a comic book.

The bedroom was on a mezzanine overlooking the living room and had one of the comfiest beds I've slept in for ages.

I didn't sleep much on the flight down so I was happy to have a disco nap.

The office was covered in robots and the perfect place to sit and get some CO+K work done.

In the evening, we went for dinner at Bocabar which was right next to our loft and looked like the cosiest bar ever with big comfy sofas and fairy lights everywhere.

Tom tried some Bristolian beer while I had a couple of Christmas cocktails and the pizza was the best I've had in ages.
