    Tom had got us some tickets to see Robot Wars being filmed in Glasgow, so we headed through this afternoon,

      We stopped off for lunch at Whole Foods Market where I tucked into a tasty plate of nachos.

      Robot Wars was at a giant warehouse in an industrial park on the outskirts of Glasgow.

      The building was massive on the inside with huge cranes on the ceilings. Just after we took our seats, they asked if we'd like to go backstage to see where the robots are constructed.

      They asked us to stand in the background while they shot a few interviews. It was a celebrity special for Christmas but I didn't recognise many of the stars.

      It was then time to take our seats for the battle. We were surprised by how loud the robots were when they hit each other.

      It was a lot slower and less dramatic than it looks on TV but the House Robots were really cool and I was excited to see Matilda!
