We were invited to the Edinburgh International Magic Festival this evening and brought Mum & Dad along with us.

Dad used to be a magician when he was younger, whereas Mum "finds magic boring", but they both started having an amazing time when they arrived.

We bumped into Vicky & Zu soon after we arrived, so we knew it was going to be fun.

The Edinburgh International Magic Festival runs throughout the summer months in the city with workshops, galas and even a magical dinner party.

Though there are lots of events for kids during the day, the MagicFest’s Lates at Summerhall is the perfect way for adults to enjoy the festival, with shows taking place late into the night, bars and food trucks.

Once you're in, you can watch up to 10 live shows in various locations around Summerhall, including mind reading from Colin Cloud, Patrick Lehnen with his magical lamp and R. Paul Wilson from The Real Hustle.

If you're lucky, you might get to experience some up close magic as the magicians wander around the bars.
