It was finally the weekend so Tom could join me in watching films at the Film Festival. We started with the Scottish film Seat in Shadow and then watched Cheer Up, a documentary about a coach trying to motivate a Finnish cheerleading squad.

We walked back home along the canal so that we could catch a bit of the Canal Festival.

The doctors were winning on their homemade barge, while the pirates were beginning to sink.

  3. Checkin at The Fountain.
    1. Edit

We sat outside The Fountain and had a drink, so I could keep an eye on the red carpet over the road at the cinema and know when I needed to head over for photos.

The premier was for the movie called The White King with Agyness Deyn and I was pretty nervous, as I'd never shot a red carpet before. I couldn't resist taking a shoe selfie while we waited.

It was actually a lot easier and slower paced than I thought - a lot less hectic that it looks on TV. The stars made two stops and the publicists did their best to make them look at each photographer.

Henry The Hoover was the star of the show, though he didn't stop to sign autographs.

  5. Checkin at Hendersons Vegan

We headed home to get dressed up and then treated ourselves to dinner at Henderson's.

I had spaghetti made from vegetables which was topped with nuts, seeds and all kinds of vegan deliciousness.

We went for a drink at The Black Rose afterwards, which reminded me a lot of my teenage bedroom and even had one of the same gargoiles I used to own.

  7. Checkin at Assembly Rooms

It was then time for the EIFF Industry Caeleigh which was being held at The Assembly Rooms.

    2. Edit

A bagpiper was playing Star Wars and other movie theme tunes as we made our way in.

The Caeleigh was so much fun and all our years of Primary School highland dancing came in handy when Tom and I got grouped with Kim Cattrall from Sex & The City and Clancy Brown from Highlander.
