  1. Checkin at Störtebäcker - Adventures in Baking
    1. Edit

We must have walked past Störtebäcker dozens of times without ever noticing it. It's a tiny little bakery, the size of a door, with just enough space for one person to stand inside while picking out their shopping.

There wasn't a lot left, as they were just about to close, but we got two onion tarts, a lemon polenta cake and a bakewell slice which were all delicious.

  2. Checkin at Corstorphine Hill
    1. Edit

We took our lunch up to the top of Corstorphine Hill to enjoy with the view.

I never knew there was a secret old war bunker under the hill, where the Queen and government would have been taken if their was a nuclear attack.

  3. Checkin at Söderberg
    1. Edit

In the evening, Tom treated me to dinner and wine at Söderberg.

    2. Edit

We shared my pizza, which was topped with salmon and capers. Tom had ordered the pizza of the day but it turned into soup when he cut into it, so Söderberg gave us a giftbag filled with baked treats to take home to make up for it.
