  1. Checkin at Edinburgh Corn Exchange
    1. Edit

We were invited along to the Edinburgh Yarn Festival at the Corn Exchange today.

    2. Edit

The festival was so much bigger than I had imagined, with hundreds of vendors from around the world selling yarn, patterns and everything a knitter could dream of.

With wooly inspiration everywhere, the urge to start stitching was quite overwhelming, but luckily there were workshops and demonstrations to keep our hands busy.

Spin City were giving demonstrations of their handmade drop spindles which came in gorgeous designs and looked so much fun to use.

There were also so many pattern designers, famous stitchers and experts on hand, making it the perfect opportunity to meet your heroes and get your favourite books signed.

  2. Checkin at Cramond Inn
    1. Edit

The weather was lovely when we left the Corn Exchange so we decided to sit next to the sea and go for a drink at the Cramond Inn.

Claire was my best friend in primary school but we lost contact when she moved away and hadn't spoken in almost twenty years when I got a message from her on Facebook.

  4. Checkin at Roseleaf bar cafe
    1. Edit

She was up in Edinburgh this weekend, so we met up at the Roseleaf for drinks and the longest catch up ever. She was just as awesome as I remembered and we were so relieved when we realised that we still love all the same things like Halloween, cats and wanting to be detectives.
