  1. Checkin at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
    1. Edit

After waking up in Cheltenham this morning, Tom had to rush off to his "secret meeting" and I was left to explore the town.

There was a really cool statue of a hare and minotaur looking cosy in the middle of town.

  2. Checkin at Budget Wools
    1. Edit

It felt like I'd hit the jackpot when I spotted the Budget Wools store and popped in to browse.

    2. Edit

I found the perfect purple mohair for a hat I want to make and it only cost £3 a ball so I bought the lot.

  3. Checkin at The Swallow Bakery
    1. Edit

When I ran out of streets to explore, I headed to the Swallow Bakery for coffee, cake and knitting.

Tom picked me up after his "secret meeting" and we drove down to Bristol.

  5. Edit

We ended up taking a wrong turn near the Severn Bridge and ended up in the service station where Richey Edwards card was found. :(

  6. Checkin at Bag of Nails, Bristol
    1. Edit

When we arrived in Bristol, we headed straight for the Bag Of Nails, a cat pub I'd read about on the internet and needed to see to believe.

The pub was everything I had hoped it would be, with cats curled up on the bar and sleeping under tables. The pub was really nice too with friendly staff, cheap rounds and honey & mustard pretzels.

    4. Edit

We sat up at the bar and got acquainted with the regulars. There were fourteen cats in total including some really cute kittens. They had all been born in the bar, so they were really comfortable around everyone.

There were some girls at the bar who knew all the cats by name, so I asked if it was their local while not trying to feel too jealous.

    7. Edit

Even though I never wanted to leave, it was time to drive back to Edinburgh, so we finished our drinks, petted each cat goodbye and jumped in the Fig.

  7. Edit

We took a mini drive-by tour of as many Banksy pieces as we could before hitting the motorway.

  9. Checkin at Lotus Vegetarian Kitchen
    1. Edit

We made a pitt stop in Manchester to pick up some vegan Chinese food from the Lotus Kitchen which kept us going until we got home.
