The new issue of Thrive Magazine popped through the letter box this morning and I couldn't wait to see one of my recipes in print.

I've been baking so much recently, that I thought it would be a good idea to submit recipes to food magazines and Thrive were keen to include my Spiced Rum Balls as part of their healthy living winter issue.

Mum, Dad and Nana who were visiting in the afternoon so I baked a batch of Toffee Nut & Banana Bundt Cakes for them. I was to try out my new mini bundt mould and these are a cross between a walnut cake and banana bread with salted caramel sauce and walnuts crumbled on top.

He was born just down the road in Fountainbridge and they've put up a plaque in his honour.
