I always go on a bit of an organizing binge in January and decided to take on my makeup drawers today. I started with my eyelash collection, which I've always felt took up a lot of space considering how small the actual lashes are, and felt so smart when I found this small box of round tins, perfect to keep them in.

Mum and Dad treated me us to a Spiralizer for Christmas. I'd heard so much about spiralizing from the cooking bloggers I work with and couldn't wait to test it out for myself.

We started off by spiralizing a carrot and cucumber. It was really easy and worked so well - making really long bunting like pieces of cucumber.

I picked up a can of vegetarian mock pork when we were in Liverpool's Chinatown with Jenny and it's been kicking around in the cupboard waiting for a spark of recipe inspiration. With my new spiralizer at hand, I was inspired to make some summer rolls.

I shredded the mock duck with a fork and then cooked it up with some sesame seeds, ginger, garlic and hoisin sauce.

The texture and taste were so convincing, I'm tempted to test it out on my Dad to see if I can fool him.

  8. Edit

It turns out that spiralized cucumber is something we need to add to Bobbin's list of ingredients not to be left alone with.
