It's that time of year when my craft desk is transformed into Santa's workshop and the first gift of my to-craft list was a pair of crystal bullet earrings for Jenny.

The Bitter Truth sent me some of their violet liqueur, spiced rum and a box of travellers bitters which I couldn't wait to start experimenting with.

For my first recipe, I made a violet and poppy seed bundt cake topped with rose petals.

It looked so pretty and from Bobbin's enthusiasm to lick the bowl afterwards, I think it'll taste good too.
