I'd fallen a little behind on Cocktail Hour with lots of new bottles arriving for Christmas, but my little assistant was keen to help me out as we mixed up parma violet flips for The Bitter Truth with their violet liqueur today.

I've really been enjoying Nigella's new show and getting jealous of all her lovely kitchen gadgets. This week she made some avocado toast and I was curious to see if I would like it so whipped up my own version. It was pretty tasty!
