      We were invited to the Country Living Christmas Fair and a blogger event with Laura Ashley in Glasgow today, so we jumped in the Fig and headed through early this morning.

    The Country Living Christmas fair was held at the SECC with hundreds of stalls selling crafts, food and gifts. It was the perfect inspiration for finding Christmas ideas.

    Even though I was supposed to be browsing for gift inspiration for others, I spotted a gorgeous pair of purple clogs that I'd love to treat myself to.

      It was then time for the Laura Ashley blogger event, hosted by Joe Blogs and the Crafty Hens at Butterfly & The Pig.

      Our first craft was decoupage and we were given wooden letters and shapes to cover in pretty paper, which was a lot harder than it looked.

      Thankfully, the finished letters looked a lot nicer when all the glue had dried.

      After a delicious cake break, it was time for the second craft of the day which was needle-felting.

    We went to meet Jenny afterwards and spotted a girlfriend for Fig.

      We started with cocktails at Blythswood Square where the bar was all pretty and pink.

      Jenny had read that they serve some of the best cocktails in the world so we couldn't wait to try them.

      Afterwards we went for dinner at the Hillhead Bookclub, which is one of the most hipster places we've ever been.

      We'd heard that we could get a cocktail served in a gramophone and thought we'd have to see it to believe it.
