  1. Checkin at Torquay
    1. Edit

I woke up to find this little seagull peeking in the window and every time I looked away, he'd get a little closer.

    2. Edit

Torquay really didn't feel like it was part of the UK, as we drove along the palm tree lined promanade.

  2. Checkin at Cockington village, Torquay
    1. Edit

It felt even less like the UK and more like Hobbiton, as we made our way along Nut Bush Lane to Cockington Village.

The village is filled with adorable cottages with thatched roofs and cobbled streets.

  3. Checkin at Weavers Cottage Tea Shoppe
    1. Edit

We stopped for tea and scones at the Weavers Cottage where we sat in their pretty garden with blankets.

  4. Checkin at Buckfast Abbey
    1. Edit

We couldn't resist stopping off at Buckfast Abbey to see where Fife's favourite fortified wine is brewed.

  5. Checkin at Plymouth
    1. Edit

Our drive then took us through Plymouth where we stopped off to see the Plymouth Hoe, a giant red and white striped lighthouse which looked just like something from Moonrise Kingdom.

  6. Checkin at Land's End
    1. Edit

We crossed over into Cornwall where we decided to drive Figgy all the way to Lands End so that he could say he's driven across the whole country, all the way from John O' Groats to Lands End.

  7. Checkin at St Ives, Cornwall
    1. Edit

We then headed along the coast to St Ives which is one of my favourite places and has the best fish and chips in England.

The tide was really high, probably because of the Super Moon and the waves were lapping over the road. Luckily Fig made it through without getting splashed.

  8. Checkin at Harbour Gourmet Fish And Chips St Ives
    1. Edit

We went for dinner at Harbour Fish & Chips, the same restaurant we tried last time and had a battered hake and amazing pea fritter. The food was sooooo good!

We gambled our pennies away at the arcade before jumping in the Fig and heading off to the forrest of Bodmin to stay in a treehouse.

  11. Checkin at Bodmin
    1. Edit

We had booked a stay at the Lost Meadow Treepod, where we arrived just after sunset. It felt a bit like a horror movie as we knocked on the farm door and was led out into a pitch black field, through the forrest to our treehouse and then left without a torch.
