Mum treated me to this really pretty house plant for my birthday. We'd spotted it at the botanics in Glasgow months and months ago and she'd spent ages trying to find out what it was. I love how the leaves look like butterflies.

I had a bunch of ingredients from my last batch of biscotti left over, so I decided to make some hazelnut & choc chip biscotti too. It tasted great when dunked into coffee!

We went for dinner with Nana in the evening so she could give us our birthday presents and beside the funniest card I've ever seen featuring Paws Hollywood and Meowy Berry, she gave me a waffle iron.

I couldn't wait to get home and try it out and luckily my Mum had saved me some of her sweet potato waffle batter, so I could cook one up straight away.

It was soooooo tasty!
