  1. Checkin at George Heriot's School
    1. Edit

When I found out the Alison worked at George Herriot's school, which inspired Harry Potter, I couldn't resist asking her what it was like to work in Hogwarts and then she invited us for a tour.

    2. Edit

Having never dared wander through the imposing front gates, I hadn't realised how huge the school was with multiple buildings stretching all the way down to the Grassmarket.

Alison pointed out some numbers carved on the ground which were used for registration in the mornings.

    5. Edit

The whole school was gorgeous with interesting stonework, winding corridors, turrets and carvings everywhere.

Even the staff room was amazing and huge, with comfy sofas and a giant fireplace.

My favourite thing was a flying pig gargoyle on the front gates.

  2. Checkin at The Meadows
    1. Edit

We relaxed in the Meadows afterwards with a picnic of Pimms, cider and a Feast while watching acrobats attempt to do one handed handstands on top of their friend's heads.

  3. Checkin at NINJA BUNS
    1. Edit

Martyn joined us after work and we went for ninja buns at Paradise Palms.
