It was Tom's birthday today and I couldn't resist waking him up with a tower of rainbow pancakes this morning.

Each pancake was spread with either peanut butter, nutella or biscoff spread with icing and sprinkles on top.

I've been keeping a list of all the things Tom's never done and it made me so sad when he told me that he'd never had a Lucky Bag as a child, so I decided to make one filled with treats, toys and candy. He loved it, so I'm planning to make it a new tradition for every Birthday.

I also made him a superhero themed birthday card to look like the hoodies he wears that you unzip to open, revealing a superhero badge!

I had been trying to tempt Tom into picking somewhere geeky and fun he'd like to go for his birthday and he'd had no interest in the National Museum Of Flight...

The plane was much smaller on the inside than I imagined with tiny windows. Seat 1A was reserved for The Queen.

The passengers were all given fancy designer wash bags and the menu sounded delicious, with cocktails all the way through.

We then got to take a ride on the back of a baggage trolly to the second hanger.

The next hanger was filled with military planes from all over the world.

Tom liked the fighter jets with ejection seats.

    10. Edit

My favourite part of the museum was the paper airplane folding station which had an air launcher which would propel your plane through cloud targets.

We headed back to our place afterwards for presents and cake where my parents were waiting.

Tom then got to open his presents. I gave him two pairs of rubber converse, a giant F1 Lego set, Google Cardboard, an awesome clock we've wanted for ages and Vietnamese coffee with coffee contraptions.

  10. Checkin at Pho Vietnam House Restaurant

I'd then made us reservations at The Vietnam House so we could have pho for dinner with craft beers I'd picked based on silly names and labels from Cork & Cask.
