This morning we went on a tour of BBC Television Centre. Cat Deeley was doing filming for So You Think You Can Dance outside.

We got to see BBC News which was very cool and the studios where a weather man was doing a report. Two members of Westlife were walking through one of the hallways too… everyone mistook them for Boyzone at first. Coolest of all, we got to see the Blue Peter studios where they were wheeling in the craft desk with the “one they made earlier” underneath!

    4. Edit

We then got to go in an interactive studio where my Dad got to be a newsreader and I got to be a contestant on the Weakest Link. I came 2nd so I won a BBC pen, yay!

    5. Edit

They also do a CBBC tour, where you get to go round the Blue Peter garden. I really want to go on it but I’m not sure if it’s just for kids, so let me know if anyone fancies braving it with me!

Afterwards we decided to go on the hunt for the cafe from @[74091389391:The Apprentice] and thanks to Google Street View we managed to find it.

The prices were amazingly cheap. The man who owns the place was really nice and asked if we were Apprentice fans. He said they’d just finished filming next year’s series last week and that there were some really flamboyant characters in it.

My parents had to catch their train back to Scotland, so we got dressed up and headed in town to meet up with the @[121138127106:LEAP ANYWHERE] team before the Newspepper relaunch party. Tony showed me what @[117550291606332:Cut Out + Keep] looks like on his new Kindle.

We then headed to the HMS President for the @[19617171343:Newspepper party]. There were free massages and cupcakes.

    2. Edit

Ex-@[9885974987:Dragon’s Den] investor Doug Richard did a talk on his new project, which sounds like Hot Or Not and will seriously annoy feminists and probably all women. One of The Apprentice winners was there too, so it was very in keeping with our BBC-themed day.
