It was so hot in our house this morning and I said I wished that we could sit out on the balcony. The next thing I knew, we were heading to B&Q to pick up some wood so that Tom could build one.

Our balcony previously had a slant down to a fire frame which made it impossible to sit or even stand on. A few hours after arriving home, Tom had built a removable wooden frame which sits perfectly over the slant and now we've got a table and two chairs out there.

We celebrated with takeaway, wine and boards games that night on the balcony with Mum & Dad.
