It was Mum's birthday today, so I baked a double Tunisian Orange Cake, which is a flourless cake and added some quinoa to it because it's one of her favourite ingredients. I served it with whipped cream and lychees which looked really pretty.
We went for a quick lunch at the Red Squirrel with cherry beer.
In the evening, we treated Mum, Dad & Nana to the jazz cruise on the Maid Of The Forth.
We bought a bottle of wine and made ourselves comfy in the lounge next to the band.
Killer Whales had been spotted near the bridges a few days before so I was on the lookout for sealife.
The seals were lazing in all their favourite places and looking as cute as ever.
I hadn't noticed all the gnomes living on Incholm Island before but after spotting one, I soon spotted them all.
The sea was a little more choppy than usual, so we would only go as far as Incholm island before heading back down the Forth to Blackness.
We passed by the Queen's new aircraft carrier which is being built at the docks Rosyth.
We also got to see the beginnings of the new bridge up close.
The sun was going down by the time we made it to Blackness castle and we headed back to South Queensferry.
