  1. Edit

Tom and I were in the mood for a mini road-trip today so we jumped in the Fig and headed up to Perth.

  2. Checkin at Dull, Perth and Kinross
    1. Edit

Being a huge fan of towns with silly names, we couldn't resist taking a detour to see the town of Dull, twined with Boring, Oregon. It lived up to it's name with little to see other than the funny road signs.

  3. Checkin at Kenmore Beach.
    1. Edit

We continued our drive to Kenmore, passing castles, pretty bridges and motorcycle gangs.

  4. Checkin at Fortingall Yew
    1. Edit

We stopped off to see the Fortingall Yew which is at least 1,500 years old, maybe even 3,000 years old.

  5. Checkin at The Hamilton Toy Museum Calander
    1. Edit

We then stopped off in Calander to see The Hamilton Toy Museum.

    2. Edit

It was amazing inside with crowded display cases filled with toys and rooms dedicated to toy cars, bears, miniature models and many other things.

Apparently they're only able to fit a quarter of their collection in the museum at any one time, so the regularly change the toys.

    5. Edit

We resisted buying Peter Andre & Mel C Barbies and got a toy bus for £1 from the shop before heading home.

  6. Edit

We always like to order some of the tapenade at Salt Cafe with our drinks so I attempted to make my own this evening with black olives, capers and parsley. It tasted pretty good!
