    While my dad went off to explore the British Library today, my mum and I decided to walk down to Little Venice.

      My mum's a librarian and when she's on holiday she always likes to pop in to other libraries and compare, so we popped in to Maida Vale Library on the way down to the canal.

      Little Venice is so picturesque at this time of year.

      We bumped in to these two cute little ducks and they were so tame.

      We had lunch on the Narrowboat Cafe. I love their tuna melt paninis.

      Afterwards, we headed to Sloane Square to do some shopping and to look around the Saatchi gallery, where they had huge sculptures made out of dog chews.

      We then nipped in to Patridge's, which is Nigella Lawson's favourite supermarket.

      I got a bag of candy corn which I'm going to try making jewellery out of.

      In the evening we met up with Dad and Tom and went for a drink at the Warwick Castle.
