  1. Checkin at Drygate Brewing Co
    1. Edit

I read a Buzzfeed article about the 21 Things Everyone Must Eat In Glasgow that the donuts at Drygate Brewery were amazing so we decided to pop in for lunch.

    2. Edit

I ordered a goats cheese & pistachio creme brûlée because it sounded fantastic. I wasn't sure what to expect from a savoury brûlée but it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. Tom helped himself to quite a lot of it too and considering he doesn't like the dessert version, I was really surprised.

We tried some beer and Tom had eggs royal which looked great but it was the candied hazelnut donuts we were really looking forward to.

The donuts came with a white chocolate & tonka bean sauce which was served in an adorable copper pan.

  2. Checkin at The Tea Rooms at The butterfly and the pig
    1. Edit

We were invited to Hillarys Crafternoon by Joe Blogs in The Tea Rooms at Butterfly & The Pig where the Crafty Hens would be teaching us to to craft with fabric from Hillarys new collection.

In the first hour we learned how to make a notebook cover which was nice and straight forward with a tiny bit of hand sewing. Everyone got excited at the point where we got to pick buttons.

    4. Edit

During the break, our cakes arrived and I had a delicious almond and lemon cake. The Tea Rooms were really pretty and reminded me a lot of the Secret Tea Room in Soho.

    5. Edit

In the second half we made cute little birds. We stitched them with a running stitch and I didn't realise how awful my sewing was until we turned them right-side out.

    6. Edit

It was a great event and you can read more about it at the Hillarys website.

  3. Checkin at Lego Store
    1. Edit

We popped to the LEGO store afterwards and made MiniFigures of Jenny & Rin to send to them in Japan. I really hope she doesn't read this before they arrive but they looked so cute, I couldn't resist sharing them.

  4. Checkin at The Hanoi Bike Shop
    1. Edit

We went for dinner at the Hanoi Bike Shop which is a cosy little Vietnamese restaurant with lanterns and bikes on the wall.

    2. Edit

I ordered a gin cocktail which had chilis in it. It was a little spicy but tasted amazing.

There were so many delicious sounding things on the menu but eventually decided to order the fish cakes, pepper tofu and sweet potato fritters. I love Vietnamese food so much!
