Tom had heard there would be some F1 drivers racing fast cars around Princes Street Gardens this morning, so we woke up bright and early and headed along to check it out.

Jenson Button, Mika Hakkinen and Kevin Magnussen were each driving laps around the gardens to promote safe driving for Johnny Walker Whisky which seemed like a bit of an odd combination.

We warmed ourselves up with Japanese food at YummyTori afterwards where they do a lunch special of any of their dishes with rice and miso for £5.

The Secret Herb Garden were hosting a Christmas shopping event in the evening, so we took Mum along so she could see how lovely it is at night.

Hamish was dressed up as The Green Man and was handing our mugs of mulled wine and the most delicious mince pies I've ever tasted.
