    1. Edit

We took a road-trip to the Vintage Bus Museum in Dunfermiline today, where we met up with my Mum and Dad.

Dad was waiting with our tickets when we arrived and we were just in time for the hourly tour, so we jumped on an old Routemaster and were driven around the various bus sheds.

    4. Edit

The first shed was filled with really beaten us buses that were being restored. Some of them were just frames and barely recognisable as buses apart from their shape.

The next shed was dedicated to Edinburgh buses and was filled with shiny Routemasters.

The final shed was filled with a mixture of Scottish and foreign buses from America, China and Europe.

Tom looked a little freaked out when the guide asked him if he was a bus enthusiast or an anorak at the end of the tour.

    11. Edit

At the end of the tour, we had a look around the actual museum which was filled with buses in a lot better condition, cars and various transport memorobillia.

Tom found that his favourite car in the museum was parked up next to his favourite bus in the museum.

    14. Edit

There were lots of bus blinds like the one we have in our flat.

I liked looking at all the memorabilia and ended up leaving with a set of plates, a roll of bus tickets and a bus conductress neck bow from the super cheap shop.

  2. Checkin at The Walled Garden
    1. Edit

We went for lunch at The Walled Garden in Kincardine afterwards.

I had mushrooms on toast and then bought a bag of peanuts from the cute little farm shop next door.

    4. Edit

It was just as well because we took a red squirrel trail around the forrest afterwards.

The walk was pretty but we didn't spot many squirrels apart from the fake ones they'd put in the trees to confuse us.

    7. Edit

Though, just as we were about to give up, we spotted one jumping between the trees.
