We have a new deli in Bruntsfield called the 181 Delicatessen that I was excited to check out.

They sell a small range of delicious products and interesting kitchen tools. I wish I could have bought everything but I settled for some tricolour lasagna sheets

My favourite thing about the deli is the tiny cafe hidden up the back with a bookcase of cookbooks you can read while you sit.

We shared mint tea and a slice of coffee & walnut cake. Even though we have dozens of great coffee shops to choose from in Morningside, I can imagine this becoming a regular spot!

Tom and I went to see Lucy and Sin City 2 in Glasgow in the evening and on our drive home, I received an aurora alert on my phone.

Tom drove me up to the top of Blackford Hill so I could get a good view but it was too cloudy to see anything. We did get some practise at taking long exposure shots in though, so we'll be prepared when we get the next alert and the sky is clear.
