After waiting for a long time in a queue to get a parking permit for our car, we rewarded ourselves with lunch at The Edinburgh Larder who we're working on an A Bite To Eat feature the CO+K blog with.

Cocoa Chocolate had recommended them and I had roasted sweet potato and flatbread while Tom tucked in to a pho.

We were on the hunt for somewhere quiet to do some work when we stumbled upon Cairngorm Coffee Company hidden away on Fredrick's Street.

We had the whole place to ourselves and the coffee and cakes were delicious.

After work, we treated ourselves to cocktail at Lucky Liquor where my cocktail was served in a lightbulb. It was so clever that they'd hacked together an egg cup and lightbulb that I might have to try making my own.

In the evening, we were invited along to the #BurgerBlindDate event at TGI Friday where we would have a blind date with a burger and, luckily. they had veggie burgers on the menu.

Our burgers came served with sweet potato fries, which we managed to get the rest of our table addicted to as well.

We had lovely company for the evening and were each served two of the largest cocktails I've ever had.
