      We met up with my Mum and Dad for lunch at Montpellier's this afternoon, as my Dad was coming through for a whisky tasting he was gifted for his birthday.

      I had the gnocchi was was really tasty and part of their Dine Out For £10 Menu, where you get 2 meals for £10 at lunch or 2 courses at dinner.

    Afterwards we took Mum shopping in Morningside before jumping in the Figaro and going for a drive. I've wanted to take a photo of this castle for ages and today, I finally remembered to bring out my telescopic lens.

    It used to be an asylum and now it's part of Napier University. Ash told me that she had studied there and it's just as crazy inside. I'd love to explore it someday.

      We took Mum to The Paper Mill where it was warm enough to sit outside on the terrace next to the river. It was the perfect place to spend the afternoon.

      We ordered cocktails and I had a Louisiana Jam and a lavender creme brûlée, which both tasted amazing.

    It was looking a little stormy as we drove home but we made it back before the rain hit. We've been lucky to avoid the rain when having the car's roof down so far but living in Scotland, I'm sure we'll end up soaking someday soon.

    In the evening, Tom cooked my Mum and I tuna muffins with salsa served with tasty frozen cocktails.
