  1. Checkin at The Cameo, Edinburgh
    1. Edit

We had free preview tickets for Chef this morning, a movie which comes out at the end of the month about a chef who starts his own food trucks. There were lots of jokes about social media in the film and it was pretty funny but it left us feeling super hungry afterwards.

  2. Checkin at The Pine Tree Bakery
    1. Edit

Luckily, the bakery next door which never seems to be open although is dispences delicious smells through all hours of the day, was actually open and we were able to top up on pastries, bread and a giant bag of donuts which they gave us for free because they were about to close.

  3. Checkin at Montpeliers Bar & Brasserie

We then went for dim sum at the Imperial Palace and then an Edinburgh Elderflower Gin at Montpellier's before my parents headed back home.

  4. Edit

In the evening, I still had the urge to chef things up after watching the Chef movie, so I decided I would attempt to make the tastiest seared tuna steak that I've ever made with a kaiso salad.

It took me ages to marinate the tuna and slice all of the seaweed but it tasted delicious and had just the right amount of wasabi in the dressing.
