Mum's Birthday

    It was my Mum's birthday today and as she's not a huge fan of super sweet cakes, I decided to bake her a rose meringue and black sesame ice cream cake.

    It tasted delicious and I loved the way it looked. It was also a really hot day, so an ice cream cake was the perfect treat!

      We then went for lunch at Loch Fyne. As a present for my Mum and Dad, we booked them a night at the Dakota hotel in Glasgow next Friday, where they'll get cocktails, a meal and breakfast.

    As another little present, I'd also sewn my Mum a laptop sleeve for her Chromebook. It was a big moment of relief when she tried it for the first time and it fit perfectly!
