  1. Checkin at Radisson Blu Hotel Edinburgh
    1. Edit

I'd went on a bit of a Groupon binge a few weeks ago and our last deal to use up was for afternoon tea at the Radisson Blu Hotel.

The staff were so friendly and we were impressed with the decor, even though the flowers on our table were at head height making it hard to see each other.

We each got a cocktail with our tea so I had a French Martini, which is always my favourite.

The food was delicious and the cakes were so good but we only managed to get through one and a half tiers before feeling full. Luckily, I'd brought along some containers to take the rest home.

  2. Checkin at Museum of Childhood, Edinburgh
    1. Edit

We popped in to the Museum Of Childhood afterwards which hadn't changed a bit since I visited as a child. To be honest, it's not the most fun museum for children and more like an adult wanting to preserve their childhood in pristine condition.

Some of the exhibits were even a little creepy, especially the thousands of eerie dolls stacked on top of each other. I loved the Girl Guide badges which looked super crafty and they still have the rocking horse which was on the top of my list for Santa every Christmas when I was little.

We spotted this graffiti nearby which reminded me of the Crafterella guest art we've been receiving. I bet a graffiti Crafterella would look amazing!

Even though Edinburgh is an amazing city, I've never really taken photos of it because I consider it as home, so I'm going to make a new habit of taking lots more photos while out and about.

  6. Checkin at Dunbar Gardens
    1. Edit

I didn't realise this before but the Royal Mile has lots of secret gardens hidden behind it's closes and my Mum visited a bunch of them on a walking tour.

    2. Edit

We had a quick look around Dunbar's Close Garden which was amazing and had some of the prettiest flowers I've ever seen.

I tend to avoid the Royal Mile because it's filled with tourists but I really need to spend some more time exploring it.

  7. Checkin at Dominion Cinema
    1. Edit

Tom and my Dad wanted to watch the Formula 1, so Mum and I headed off to the Dominion to see The Book Thief. We really liked it and I loved all of the outfits and satchels in the movie.

  8. Checkin at Burger.
    1. Edit

We met up with Tom and Dad in the evening and went for dinner at Burger where I tucked in to the crazy deep fried tortilla veggie dog.
