I'm not sure if it's the wall of smokers who are permanently blocking the entrance but for some reason, we had never been tempted to go into Montpeliers and every time we'd actively decided to go, we ended up putting ourselves off again. So, this evening, we forced ourselves to go - no matter how many things tried to put us off on the way.

Our cat-senses had been serving us well because the beer Tom ordered tasted awful which turned out to be because they had just changed the tap and it was full of cleaning fluid. I had a salted caramel cocktail which looked pretty but didn't taste great and although we got a nice seat next to the window, the smoke was blowing in from the smokers outside. I don't think we'll be rushing back!
