    Our first stop this morning was Edinburgh, Indiiana.

    It's always fun to see what towns with the same name as your hometown look like in other countries.

    We then crossed the stateline in to Kentucky.

      We stopped for brunch at Hillbilly Tea in downtown Louisville.

      I ordered a moonshine cocktail brewed with tea which was tasty but really strong.

      Our brunch was amazing. I had pancakes and a rosemary biscuit on the side.

    Our next stop was Bardstown, which had won an award for the prettiest small town.

      Our hotel for the night was the Jailer's Inn Bed & Breakfast which used to be the old county jail.

      We chose to stay in the jail cell room which used to be the cell for women. The door was so heavy to open.

      We went for lunch at the Bourbon City Bistro where we ordered a couple of bourbon cocktails.

      I had a strawberry fields salad which was covered in all kinds of lovely things. I love how big the salads are here and I'm going to try making some when I get home.

    There was a giant double rainbow at sunset and it was so vibrant in the light.

      In the evening we met up with Rhonda and Mike, our friends from Edmonton, who were also on holiday in Kentucky. It was so much fun catching up with them.

      They treated us to dinner at Varanese where I had a super yummy salad.

      Tom and I shared a cannoli for dessert which was delicious.
