      We started off this morning by going to see the Great Salt Lake.

      We then stopped off to see a replica of the house from Up. It was so colourful and even an exact replica on the inside. It was built by the housing developers to gain publicity and now someone has moved in and kept it the same.

    Nearby was the gigantic new data centre for the American government which creeped Tom out.

    The landscape turned in to a desert as we drove east. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I spotted a tornado but it turned out to be a dust devil.

      We then went to Arches National Park which is home to the famous balancing rock, windows and rock arches.

      The road became a little windy and scary at times but Tom wasn't bothered by it.

      Our first stop was at the Balancing Rock. We spotted a lizard running around between the rocks.

      The Windows were my favourite rocks, especially as you could walk up to them and stand inside.

      Our final stop was at the Delicate Arch which appears on the Utah license plate.

    It was then a race against the daylight to make it to our next destination before sunset.

      We made it to Cisco, a nearby ghost town just in time for sunset and the twilight made it feel even more eerie.

      The town used to top up the water on steam trains and the town died after those trains were replaced with diesel ones.

      Most of the buildings had started falling apart but it still looked like a few people might live there. I'm glad we didn't meet anyone as it was eerie enough in the twilight.
