  1. Checkin at Pike Place, Seattle
    1. Edit

It was our last day in Seattle with Bruce and we couldn't leave the city without having at least one coffee from Starbucks.

    2. Edit

Bruce is such a loyal customer that he even has a special gold card.

  2. Checkin at Post Alley Gum Wall
    1. Edit

We walked through Post Alley to see the gum wall again.

    2. Edit

It was a warmer day and the smell from the gum started making me feel quite sick.

  3. Checkin at Bella Umbrella
    1. Edit

We popped in to a lovely shop selling handmade umbrellas called Bella Umbrella.

    2. Edit

I fell in love with this one. I may have to stop back before heading home.

  4. Checkin at Po Dog - Ballard
    1. Edit

We went for lunch at Po Dog, an awesome restaurant where you can get vegetarian hot dogs topped with all kinds of things.

    3. Edit

I had one topped with mac n cheese which was delicious and very filling.

  5. Checkin at Full Tilt Ballard
    1. Edit

After lunch, we popped in to Full Tilt for a few games of pinball before waving goodbye to Bruce.

  6. Edit

It was then time to hit the road with our new hire car. We managed to get a nice little Nissan with a big enough boot for our suitcases, though they originally tried to fob us off with a six seater. I thought it was funny because I could have sat two rows behind Tom. It felt like being in Twilight as we drove through the foggy Washington forest.

  7. Edit

We took a break from driving in Roslyn, a cute little town where the TV show Northern Exposure was filmed.

  8. Checkin at Roslyn Candy Company
    1. Edit

We stopped into the Roslyn Candy Company which was a super cutesy sweet shop with a huge range of treats to pick from.

    2. Edit

We picked up some interesting sweets, including violet bubble gum, from the old fashioned candy store.

  9. Edit

This little dog followed us around town from shop to shop and eventually ended up going in to a pub as we left. When we past by we could hear someone shouting "it's that annoying little dog again".

  10. Edit

The scenery began to change and become more like a desert as we got further west towards the Idaho boarder.

  11. Edit

We stopped off in a town called George, Washington to get a photo with George Washington.
