    We touched down in Seattle this morning after a long night of travelling and my Uncle Bruce picked us up from the airport. He'd travelled down from his home in Vancouver to spend a few days with us. We'd have loved to make it up to Canada to see Grandma, but there wasn't enough time this trip, so we're hoping to have her over for Christmas.

    It felt good to be back in the lower 48 states, with everything beginning to feel familiar again after the two extremes of Alaska and Hawaii.

      We fuelled up for the day with breakfast at Denny's where I tucked in to a veggie skillet.

      Our first stop was the Boeing Factory, which Tom has been wanting to visit for a long time, to see how planes are made.

      The building is the largest enclosed space in the world and even used to have it's own weather system, with clouds forming in the building, until it installed better air conditioning.

      Photography was banned in the factory, incase we gave away some trade secrets to the competitors but it was cool to see planes being put together, piece by piece.

      There was a museum to visit after the tour but it was small and disappointing. The best exhibit was a cockpit where you could play with all the buttons and dials.

    There was a UFO nearby which we tried to take abduction shots at.

    There was also a giant paper airplane on the roof of a company who make giant things.

      We headed back to downtown Seattle and stopped to see the Fremont Troll who lives under a bridge.

      In the evening we went for vegan food at VeggieGrill where we had buffalo chicken and burgers.

      I had a BBQ steak chipotle burger, while Tom had a cheeseburger and Bruce had tacos. All of our dishes were delicious and super meaty tasting.

    We grabbed bubble tea before heading back to our motel for a much needed sleep.
