The yurt was so cosy that we didn't want to get out of bed when we woke up this morning, but we had to pack our suitcases as it was our last day in Alaska.

We stopped off at the Chugach National Forest again so I could pick up a squished penny.

The fog had lifted today, so you could see the view so much clearer.

We stopped off at the salmon watching viewpoint where we could see dozens of fish swimming in the stream.

There was a pile of fish bones sitting on the opposite bank which a bear must have left after fishing.

We also stopped at Beluga point, where you can see whales swimming upstream to catch salmon. We spotted a few humps through the viewfinders but it was too difficult to get a good photo of them.

We then headed to downtown Anchorage for a wander around and to waste some time before our flight.

I attempted to take one last photo of the aurora borealis before catching our flight. Hopefully I'll get a good shot of them when we visit Iceland at some point.
