      Our first stop this morning was the North Pole, Alaska where it's Christmas everyday. We found this giant Santa Claus House on Santa Claus Lane.

      There was a shop selling millions of Chirstmas decorations and even a herd of reindeer outside.

  2. Checkin at Alaska Pipeline

      We passed the start of the Alaska Oil Pipeline, which transports oil from the north to the ports in the south.

    We then headed to downtown Fairbanks where all the flowers were in full bloom and looked so pretty.

    It's known as The Golden Heart City because of it's location and it was founded during the gold rush.

      We then stopped in to the Dog Mushing Museum. I really hope we get to meet some huskies while we're here.

      We then went to Creamer's Fields which is a popular stop off point for migrating birds.

    We took a drive through the countryside which was so pretty and stopped off at a lake.

      Our taxi driver had reommended we go for dinner at Silver Gulch which is America's most northern brewery.

      We ordered a giant plate of nachos and I ordered a couple of beer samples so Tom, the designated driver could have a sip.

  10. Checkin at Aurora Ice Museum
    1. Edit

      We then drove to Chena Hot Springs to see the Aurora Ice Museum which originally opened as the first ice hotel before it melted and was rebuilt as a museum.

      The museum is kept freezing cold so that the sculptures don't melt and you're given a giant parka to wear as you go in.

      The museum was amazing and filled with dozens of intricate sculptures, ice rooms, a fireplace, bar and even a xylophone which Tom played a tune on.

      After the tour, we sat at the ice bar and had an appletini served in an ice martini glass.

      We warmed up in the hot springs afterwards and spotted the faint northern lights on the drive back to our hotel.
