Tom and I went for brunch at the Westroom this afternoon. We're attempting to try out a new hipster brunch spot every Sunday.

I had mushrooms on toast which were really tasty.

Afterwards we went for a cocktail at 52 Canoes Tiki Lounge.

I tried a vanilla & elderflower martini, while Tom had a hurricane, and all we could taste in either was very very strong alcohol.

Even the table water looked like it might be laced.

Mum & Dad phoned up to say they were passing through Edinburgh on their way home and wondered if we'd like to meet up for a drink. We joined them for a pitcher of Pimm's outside the Earl Of Marchmont.

I also tried a gin & bramble which was delicious.

We ended the evening by winning the pub quiz at The Merlin with Calum & Harriet. That quiz has went really downhill since Sarah stopped presenting it.
