Mum & Dad came through this morning and we decided to head out on an adventure. Tom treated us all to a round of coffees and chocolate coins for the road-trip.

Our first stop was a pet cemetery at Newhailes. I love reading the dedications that have been chiselled in to miniature gravestones.

We then headed along to the seaside at North Berwick.

  4. Checkin at Lobster Shack
    1. Edit

We stopped for lunch at the Lobster Shack, which had recently reopened for the summer season. It was still a little cold to sit in the wind but we toughed it out.

Tom and I had fun testing out the new camera on the beach. We were a little terrified of sand blowing in to the lens though, as that had destroyed one of my older cameras.

This pigeon was so friendly that he let me get close enough to take a photo on my mini fish-eye camera. I'll show you the results when I get the film developed one day.

It's amazing how intricate the cuts are. I loved all the tiny people at the base.

Our final stop was Ikea, where I picked up some furniture for new craft projects while Tom amused himself by taking photos.

There was an awesome den made in the space under a bunk beds with a projector playing cartoons. We wanted to live in it which might be a good sign, incase we ever want have to live in New York.

We headed home with a new coffee table, side table for the record player and a pack of the green marizpan cakes I love so much.

We put together the furniture when we got home, then Mum and I decided to start constructing the origami fox lamp that Donkey & Friends had sent at Christmas. Hunger set in before we managed to finish it, so we headed out for a late night slice of pizza at Toni Macaroni.
