  1. Edit

    I'm always taking photos when I'm out and about - from arty filtered snaps of my food and action shots of cute animals to quick snaps of things I want to make and panoramas of Tom pretending to eat famous landmarks, it's important to have the perfect app for every shot.

    1. Camera
    ========
    Price: Default on Phone

    I'm including the iPhone's main camera as one of my top apps because I still find that it takes the best quality photos. As a rule, I try to take my initial photos and videos with the main camera and then use secondary apps to enhance or add filters.

    2. Instagram

    I couldn't understand why everyone loved Instagram so much at first but I've become addicted now too. It's the easiest and fastest way to artsy up your phone photos with a soft focus and nice filter/

    This is such a cool app which lets you take a full 360 degree photo and then view it back by moving your phone around. It's perfect for capturing the feel of an impressive building.

    5. iPhoto

    iPhoto is my favourite app for more serious editing on the go. I don't use it too much but when I need it, it's really handy.

    Lumie is a little app which lets you add bokeh style filters and effects to your photos. Perfect for adding a touch of sparkle!

    7. InstaCollage

    For creating collages using two or more images. I like to keep mine nice and simple but it does all kinds of crazy and tacky designs.

    8. Pocketbooth

    Sometimes you just want a photostrip. I used to love PopBooth but they changed their design.

    9. DailySpank

    This fun little app comes from our friend Mal. Every day you're challenged to post a new photo to a theme and it's the perfect way to kick-start my photo taking inspiration for the day.

    10. Eye-Fi

    My Eye-Fi card has been one of the best investments I've bought for blogging and taking photos on the go.
