Today @[59563640025:Twinkie Chan] was doing a crochet class at @[170591652993255:All the Fun of the Fair] in Kingly Court. We've been email buddies for a while and have done work for @[6308333870:Cut Out + Keep], so it was great to finally meet her in person.

The shop looked so pretty and there were so many cupcakes. We sat around a table and all attempted to crochet a cupcake. I'm still not very good but I'll get the hang of it one day. A girl came in the store a little later and told Twinkie that she'd heard about her through @[117550291606332:Cut Out + Keep] which was awesome, I love it when that happens!

The city was really busy because of protests about the budget cuts, so we had to duck and dive our way through the streets to get to the tube without getting caught in the crowds.

We then headed down to Furnival Gardens near Hammersmith Bridge to watch the @[27994914806:Oxford vs Cambridge Boat Race]. We weren't the only ones with that idea, the park was full and there were food stalls and morris dancers.

After a bit of hunting we found @[309500568:Lynsey Munn] chilling on picnic blankets with lots of delicious noms cooked by @[500585882:Alexandra Metaxa]. @[504734517:Norman Tallman] joined us and after a while @[61007783:Louise Blackwood] found us too. @[500451255:Claire Taylor] made her way along, just in time to watch the race.

@[500585882:Alexandra Metaxa] had made pizza swirls with puff pastry and pizza toppings in the middle that tasted delicious. I'll have to ask her for the recipe.

When the race started everyone climbed on the benches and up in to the trees to get a view. I had to stand on my tips toes to get a glance at who was winning. I cheered on Oxford as that's the only city I've visited out of the two.

After the race we treated ourselves to @[16284098753:Candy Floss].

In the evening we were invited along to @[110986485533:Jodie Harsh]'s club Circus, as @[9389027754:Ladytron] were doing a DJ set. The man on the door told us we were on the cool guestlist and then asked what the real names of the band were so that he'd know them when they arrived.

Paramount is at the top of Centre Point, so we took the elevator up to the 31st floor which had an amazing view over London.

We realised pretty quickly that London doesn't have that many landmarks you can spot from up high. You could see all the way down in to the tube construction works at Tottenham Court Road though, which was very cool.

On the walk home we spotted a super cute fox, which was really tame and didn't mind us stopping to take photos for five minutes.
